The Playstation 3 Yellow Light of Death seems to be a common problem with the PS3. Recently my PS3 40gb (bought in Dec 2007) got the dreaded yellow light of death. After seeing the shamefully inaccurate Watchdog report on the BBC, you know, the one presented by the guy who does a lot of article writing for Microsoft I was wondering if I should bother calling Sony.
When I did eventually find time to call Sony they said I would need to give them £120 for the pickup / refurbished PS3 service. Not wanting to spend that much on a PS3 with a 3 month warranty I decided to email Amazon complaining about my broken PS3 as under UK law the sales of goods act say consumers have the right to quality products with a certain lifespan. Amazon said they wouldn’t be helping me in an email which looked like a template and didn’t really answer any of my questions.
I now had a choice repair my 40gb console or buy a new PS3 …. I bought a new PS3 and now own a 120gb PS3 slim, let’s see how long this one lasts.
After finally getting round to playing the Resident Evil 5 demo a few days ago I recommended it to a friend. He went to have a look at the psn store to download the demo but couldn’t find it. After we both spent a while searching we determined it was no longer there (On the european psn store).
Why is it gone? some possible bugs that they didn’ t want anyone else to see? just being random? please comment if you know or have a plausible explanation.

After playing and enjoying Lego Indiana Jones I decided to rent Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga.
The first thing I noticed about the game, as I was forced to play the first few levels of The Phantom menace, is just how much I disliked having the relive the newer films. Thankfully after completing the first few levels it unlocks all 6 chapters so you can go play the one you really want to.

I’ve finally received my US copy of Disgaea 3, the first thing anyone will notice about the game is that the graphics are pretty poor for a PS3 game. The second thing they’ll notice is that it doesn’t really matter.

The long awaited PAIN trophies update has been delayed. Both the amusement park add-on and the trophy patch are being delayed and then released on the 11th of September. Why this delay? The development team thought the trophies they put into the game were too hard to achieve so they are spending some time making them actually humanly possible to obtain. More on this o the 11th
